easy access to parks and attractions for weekend explorers

I really appreciated the short distance to Sierra Vista Park, just a little over 2 km away, which made for a lovely morning walk, and the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum, almost 2 km from the hotel, was an enjoyable way to spend my afternoon after exploring the city. the room was clean and service was good, making it a nice stay for a solo traveler like me.

friendly staff

motel 6-santa maria, ca, south was convenient for a last-minute stay. the outdoor pool was a nice touch, especially since we were driving from san diego, which is about 8 hours away. i appreciated the friendly staff who quickly provided extra pillows and towels. it's great that there's free wifi, which made it easy to stay connected during our stay.

The stay was quite uncomfortable. we unfortunately encountered a few cockroaches in our room. While check-in was quick and hassle-free, the room itself was not what we expected. With the cigarettes smell lingering in our non-smoking room, it made it less pleasant, especially with young kids along. However, the location was convenient for our plans in town, being close to attractions.
